<p>PURPOSE:To provide an electric vehicle charging connector which improves maneuverability during connection and working efficiency. CONSTITUTION:A pair of spiral grooves 14 are formed approximately in symmetry with respect to an axis from a starting end 14a to a terminal end 14b on the inner peripheral surface of a guide tube portion 11. A pair of engagement protrusions 22a(22b) are formed approximately in symmetry with respect to an axis on the outer peripheral portion of a charger-side connector 2. When the charger-side connector 2 is rotated relative to a vehicle-side connector 1 in the direction of arrow P by turning a hand lever 23 in the direction of arrow P by one hand, the engagement protrusions 22a(22b) are moved along the spiral grooves 14 so that both connectors half fitted together are completely fitted together. In this position a holding mechanism is operated to hold the charger- side connector 2 completely fitted in the vehicle-side connector 1.</p> |
