PURPOSE:To make a system simple by humidifying a solid polymer electrolyte film and by supplying a reformed gas from a reformer to a fuel electrode, after decreasing the temperature to near the operation temperature of fuel, in a solid polymer fuel cell power generating system containing a fuel cell using the solid high polymer electrolyte film as an electrolyte and the reformer. CONSTITUTION:Although a hydrogen-rich reformed gas supplied from a reforming part 14 in a reformer 12 has a high temperature of 250 deg.C or higher, it is cooled to about 100 deg.C during bubbling up in water in a bubbling chamber 18, and supplied to the fuel electrode of a solid high polymer fuel cell 10. Water in the bubbling chamber is heated to generate steam. The steam is supplied to the fuel electrode together with the reformed gas, to humidify a solid polymer electrolyte film through the fuel electrode. The water temperature in the bubbling chamber is kept at around 100 deg.C by the heat transfer of water in a second bubbling chamber 20. The water in the second bubbling chamber 20 is heated when a combustion exhaust gas supplied from a combustion part 16 of the reformer passes through water. |
