PURPOSE:To automatically generate verification data of the maintenance diagnostic mechanism only by supplying slight control information by automatically extracting a specific hardware register as a register to be given a dummy fault. CONSTITUTION:Control information 10 and input information of a logical file 11 are used to extract the cover area of a fault detecting circuit in a step 100, and the specific hardware register in the cover area is extracted as an object to be tested in a step 110. In a step 120, a dummy fault generation trigger memory address is generated and in a step 130, an expected value (reference code) is generated in a step 130 from a scan address. Namely, the steps 100 130 are manually generated before, but the steps 100-130 are automated. Output information which is thus obtained is a verification data file 12 and consists of hardware register information, the expected value, etc., of the register to be given the dummy fault so as to verify the maintenance diagnostic mechanism. |
