摘要 PURPOSE:To restrain a negative electrode at low cost from being weakened and collapsing due to repeating of charge and discharge so as to extend the life by using as a negative electrode an alloy of an aluminium alloy and lithium, the aluminium alloy containing proper amounts of silicon, iron, copper, zinc and manganese. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode which can be repeatedly charged and discharged, a lithium-ion conductive nonaqueous electrolyte, and a negative electrode made of an alloy of an aluminium alloy and lithium are used, the aluminium alloy containing silicon, iron, copper, zinc and manganese by 0.05 to 1.0wt.%, 0,05 to 1.0wt.%, 0.01 to 0.5wt.%, 0.01 to 0.5wt.% and 1.0 to 2.0wt.%, respectively. When the amount by which these additive elements are added to the alloy exceeds the above rate, a sufficient charge-and-discharge cycle life cannot be obtained and the warpage of the lithium alloy multilayer electrode body within a battery due to alloying, etc., cannot be sufficiently restrained. When the amount exceeds the above rate, the electrode body becomes hard and brittle and is therefore hard to be processed into foil of not more than 100mum by rolling or the like.
