PURPOSE:To prevent the release of a data link to be generated by the continuous sound in the data communication device sending and receiving voices and sending and receiving data in the soundless state. CONSTITUTION:When the sound state is longer than the timeout of a line monitoring timer 5, a forced transmission timer 7 is out of time before the timer 5 is out of time. Accepting the time out notification of the timer 7, the forced transmission control part 6 directs the data transmission to a data transmission/reception control part 3 and performs data transmission in the sound state. A line monitoring timer control part 8 stops counting of the timer 5 in the sound state and restarts the timer 5 in the soundless section. Thus, the timer 5 generates the timeout only when an abnormality occurs in the line and releases the data link.
