PURPOSE:To stabilize the light emission frequency of a downsized light source by using a polarizer, which permits two orthogonally intersecting polarized beams to be transmitted by a polarizing prism and permits the incident plane of semiconductor laser array beams to the bonded plane is orthogonal to the plane including the semiconductor laser array. CONSTITUTION:As a polarizer 9 on the incident side of an optical isolator 4, a polarizing prism formed by joining two prisms is used and the polarizer 9 allows two orthogonally intersecting polarized beams to pass. Therefore, the optical isolator 4 which allows no internal reflection is provided. Since the polarizer 9 permits the incident plane of beams to the laminating plane to orthogonally intersect with the plane which includes a semiconductor laser array 1, the size of the polarizer 9 is reduced and the optical isolator 4 is downsized. Therefore, the frequency of light emitted by the semiconductor laser is stabilized and the downsized semiconductor laser array module is provided. |
