PURPOSE:To immediately and automatically correct the destroyed data which are stored in a nonvolatile memory and to ensure the stable operation of a system by preparing a two-sided data area in the nonvolatile memory to store the same data. CONSTITUTION:The two-sided data area memories 1A and 1B consisting of nonvolatile storage elements store the same data. When a system starts its operation, a check function 5 works by a processing program set previously to a data processing function 2 and by means of the spare time set for execution of an actually working program. Thus the function 5 checks in sequence whether the data 1A1,..., 1Ai,..., 1An... are degenerated or not. If the data 1Ai is not normal and the data 1Bi is normal, for example, during the check of the memory 1A, the system carries on its operation. If both data 1Ai and 1Bi are not normal, the alarm processing is carried out by an alarm means which is previously set in the system. |
