The invention relates to a building block (1) for wall structures (2), wherein for the purpose of joining blocks with juxtaposed overlying and underlying blocks each block has a first horizontal bedding surface (3) which has a plurality of pegs (6) projecting out from its plane, and a second horizontal bedding surface which includes peg-receiving holes (5), wherein the blocks are affixed to one another by virtue of locking means acting between pegs (6) and holes (5), and wherein the locking means has the form of a snap locking means (7) which includes a toothed configuration (8) provided on each peg (6) and engaging a projection (9) on the wall of a respective hole (5) as the peg is inserted thereinto. |
