PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency in formation and editing of a document by confirming a printer printing output image by a display image on a CRT screen when a line feed width, etc., is revised in a document forming device of a word processor, etc. CONSTITUTION:The data inputted from a key board 20 are stored in a text data storage part 4 as the arrangement of the text data, and further, the line feed width of each row is stored in an each line feed width storage part 5. When a printer printing image is displayed on the screen, by a picture processing part 8, the line feed width of each row is read out, and at the time of the case where the line feed width is smaller than usual, e.g. when the line feed width is 1/N (N is a positive integer), the text data by N rows are taken out, and a processing for shifting a character dot pattern corresponding to each row taken out from a font ROM 3 by the line feed width and superimposing them is performed. Further, when the character is revised, the processing for superimposing of the characters in the row and succeeding rows according to the line feed width of respective rows concerned is performed and the omission of characters is prevented. |
