The subject devised according to the invention is composed of parts hinged along folding lines situated in a plane. The invention is characterised by the particular geometrical form of the cutouts and their manner of hinging, features which enable the structure to be unfolded from one plane corresponding to its storage mode to a ready-to-use three-dimensional object. This folding seat support consists of boards, metal tubes or pieces of curved laminated wood joined together by hinges: - a backrest (1) connected to two side pieces (4) forming the front underframe, - the latter are each hinged to a piece that acts as a connecting piece (3) for connection with a middle piece (2), - this middle piece or the connecting pieces are extended to form the rear underframe, and - a flexible or rigid seat surface (0) is set between the backrest and the middle piece.
