<p>PURPOSE:To provide a shape detecting device of which can detect an accurate shape by estimating and correcting the detected error of the shape caused by the deflection of a mandrel etc. CONSTITUTION:In a shape detecting device for detecting the shape of a metal plate as the rolled metal plate is hung on a tension detective type shape detecting roll 4 to be wound round the mandrel 14, a coil diameter detecting means 31 to detect a metal plate coil diameter for the mandrel, a mandrel deflection arithmetic parts 32, 33 to calculate the distribution in the width direction of the mandrel deflection in accordance with a detected result from this coil diameter detecting means and a corrective arithmetic part 36 to correct a shape detected from an arithmetic result from the arithmetic part for the mandrel deflection are provided.</p> |
