PURPOSE:To provide molds for molding pulp and a method for manufacturing the same which has no net, small time and labor hour required for manufacturing and a light weight as well as a pulp molded form having smooth surface properties and a method for manufacturing the same. CONSTITUTION:Mold 10 for molding pulp comprises a plurality of plate pieces 101-108 connected integrally by welding, etc. A plurality of through holes 111 having a diameter of 2.0mm or less at a pitch of 0.05-2.0mm and an opening ratio of 8.8-75% are opened at the plates 101-108 through front to rear surfaces. Or, the molds may be formed of a superplastic material plate to be superplastically deformed. Thus, the molds having a light weight, a high strength, excellent corrosion resistance and maintainability can be easily manufactured. A surface of the obtained form is smooth.
