Novel type of equipment for osteosynthesis of fractures, in particular those of the wrist, including a pin and a cap and device for fitting the cap on the pin

The equipment according to the invention is composed of a pin (1) and a cap (2). The pin (1) is equipped with a shoulder (5) behind the tip (4), for limiting its insertion into the cortical of the bone. Behind the shoulder, the pin is provided with a smooth-surface cylindrical portion (6) which enters the spongy tissue of the bone and, behind this portion (6), a threaded portion (7). After the pin is cut to length, the threaded portion receives the cap (2). This cap is previously introduced into a sleeve formed in the fitting device (12), this device being moreover provided with a gripping head. This equipment is principally intended to be used in the context of the "Kapandji" method.
