The device according to the invention comprises, on the one hand, a battery of accumulators which is mounted on the sliding door (P1 to P4) and which is connected to the motor (M1) serving for actuating the latter by means of a control device and, on the other hand, a supply device capable of charging the battery, the connection of this supply circuit to the battery being made by means of a connecting circuit comprising at least two connectors (17, 18-20, 21) respectively arranged on the door (P1 to P4) and on the fixed structure, so as to be coupled in at least one specific position of the door (P1 to P4).
