Polymer matrices, e.g., halogenated polymers such as PVC, polyolefins, polystyrenes, polyalkadienes, etc., are stabilized against the adverse effects of heat and light, by incorporating therein an effective stabilizing amount of a compound of the formula (I): <IMAGE> (I) <IMAGE> +TR <IMAGE> in which n is a number ranging from 1 to 3, and R is a methyl radical or a hydrogen atom.
