INK JET RECORDING PAPER

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide ink jet recording paper solving the point at issue of conventional technique, showing good ink absorbability and preventing ink from overflowing even in the formation of a full color image using a plurality of nozzles and capable of forming a high density image. CONSTITUTION:In ink jet recording paper used in an ink jet recording method using an on-demand type head having a plurality of nozzles, a recording layer is formed on one surface of base paper using a coating soln. consisting of pigment containing 80wt.% or more of synthetic silica with a BET specific surface area of 250-500m<2>/g and a binder containing casein and styrene/butadiene rubber. The wt. ratio of pigment/binder is 1.8-2.4 and the solid coating amt. of the coating soln. is 15-25g/m<2> and the ten-score average roughness of the surface of the recording layer is set to 0.5-5mum.
