摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a thin coating type ink jet recording sheet excellent in ink absorbability, imparting an image enhanced in density and sharpness and obtaining a recording dot having an almost circular shape. CONSTITUTION:In an ink jet recording sheet, raw paper is neutral paper containing calcium carbonate as a filler and an anionic neutral rosin size as an internal size and a recording surface wherein the surfaces of the pulp fibers of the surface of the raw paper are coated with a compsn. based on ultrafine inorg. pigment particles is provided on the raw paper. The shapes of the pulp fibers applied to the recording surface can be visually confirmed by a scanning electromicroscope and a surface coating ratio is set to 70% or more.
