PURPOSE:To store the electric energy generated by a solar battery of an artificial satellite by converting into a rotating movement of wheels, and to use the power by converting the rotating movement of the wheels into an electric energy when necessary. CONSTITUTION:A solar battery 8, motors 3 and 4, wheels 1 and 2, a voltage regulator 10, and a torque controller 5 are combined. When the solar battery 8 is in the sun shining condition, the power generated by the solar battery is fed to a satellite load, and the excessive power accelerates the wheels 1 and 2 through the motors 3 and 4. When the solar battery 8 is in the sun set condition, the power from the solar battery is cut off, and a reverse electromotive force generated by the motors 3 and 4 is fed to the satellite load. In this case, the wheels 1 and 2 are decelerated. The wheels 1 and 2 control the angular movement amount on the rotary shaft by controlling the current of the motors 3 and 4 by the torque controller 5. |
