<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a new compound exhibiting high solubility in aqueous medium and useful as a black disazo dye imparting a water-base ink composition with aging stability, sufficient dyeing power, water-resistance and light resistance. CONSTITUTION:A compound of the formula I {A is naphthylene group of the formula II (R<1> is carboxyl or sulfonic acid group) or phenylene group of the formula III [(R<2>)-2 is one or two substituents R<2>; R<2> is methyl, ethyl, etc.]; X is H, alkali metal, etc.}, e.g. the compound of the formula IV. The compound can be produced by diazotizing m-aminobenzenephosphonic acid in an aqueous solution in the presence of a mineral acid, coupling the obtained diazo compound to a coupling component giving the unit A such as 2-methoxy-5-acetaminoaniline in acidic state, diazotizing the produced monoazo compound, coupling with 1-hydroxy-7-benzylamino-3-naphthylsulfonic acid under alkaline condition and making the obtained disazo compound to be soluble in water.</p> |
