MUDDY-WATER SHIELD EXCAVATOR

PURPOSE:To provide a muddy-water shield excavator with a simple effective gravel crusher capable of crushing gravel having a large diameter taken into a muddy water chamber without requiring a large occupied space and a special driving equipment. CONSTITUTION:A boom 7 is installed to the rear of a cutter head 2 while projecting sections 12, 12' are formed at a plurality of places in the front of a bulk head 8 along the moving path of the front end section of the boom 7 in a section in the vicinity of the bottom of the lower half of a muddy water chamber 9. Impact load is applied from the lateral direction by the boom 7 being moved with the revolution of the cutter head 2 under the state, in which gravel 14 having a large diameter is held partially between these projecting sections 12, 12', thus crushing gravel 14 having the large diameter.
