PURPOSE:To obtain a large-sized high strength material for a permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION:Powdery starting material is compression-compacted in a magnetic field to form plural compacts 1. These compacts 1 are arranged in a box 3 made of an alumina sintered compact so that the adjacent compacts 1 are made to adhere to each other. The resulting compact assembly 2 is sintered to join the particles of the powdery starting material in each of the compacts 1 and between the adjacent compacts 1. The objective high strength material for a permanent magnet having a size dependent on the number of the compacts 1 used is produced. |
