PURPOSE:To provide a thermal color erasing type photosensitive recording material capable of performing recording by infrared exposure containing scanning exposure due to infrared laser and forming a negative image of high sensitivity and high quality excellent in background transparency. CONSTITUTION:A thermal color erasing type infrared photosensitive recording material is constituted by forming a thermal layer consisting of dye particles developed by preliminarily reacting a leuco dye and a phenolic coupler and a hydrophilic binder containing dye particles in a dispersed state and not substantially containing a granular color erasing agent and losing a color by the mutual action of the dye particles and the hydrophilic binder when heat energy is applied and keeping a color erased state even in a case returned to the normal temp. on a support and an infrared absorbing substance is added to the thermal layer or the layer adjacent to the thermal layer. |
