<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a water-bone composition for coating having high water resistance and pigment dispersibility. CONSTITUTION:The objective water-borne composition is obtained by neutralizing a vinyl polymer which is prepared from 30 to 90-wt.% of methyl methacrylate, 0 to 30wt.% of an aromatic vinyl monomer, and 0 to 66wt.% of other vinyl monomers and has 30 to 100 deg.C Tg, 7,000 to 30,000 molecular weight and 30 to 90mgKOH/g acid value with a base boiling at a temperature lower than 200 deg.C in an amount of 70 to 100% of the acid groups in the polymer and dissolving the neutralized product in water.</p> |
