ADJUSTMENT DEVICE FOR CONTROL CABLE

PURPOSE:To assemble an adjustment device for a control cable by just a single operation without requiring a tool. CONSTITUTION:A control cable K which is adopted to a key interloc device for an automatic transmission connects a rod 19 installed on a rotational end of an operation arm 16 on the side of a shift lever 11 to a stopper 22 of a key cylinder device 12. An inner cable 23 has one end installed on the stopper 22 and the other end fixed to one end of a holder 26. A through-hole 27 is formed on the other end of the holder 26, into which hole 27 a screw 19B on a leading end of the rod 19 is inserted. A cylindrical slider 25 is formed on an outer periphery of the holder 26. When the slider 25 is slid to the side of the other end of the holder 26, that is, to the side of the rod 19, a deformation part 30 formed on an end of the holder 26 on the side of the rod 19 is pressed inward by an inner wall of the slider 25 to restrict the screw 19B of the rod 19.
