COLOR THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING METHOD

PURPOSE:To provide a color thermal transfer recording medium capable of forming a multicolor image with a high-color reproducibility in hot-melt transfer recording. CONSTITUTION:A color thermal transfer recording medium 10 is used in a recording system forming a multicolor image on recording paper. The hot-melt transfer ink arranged on the single surface of a base material in a layered state is transparent ink characterized by that an m.p. is 50-150 deg.C, viscosity is 20-10000cP (measured at temp. 30 deg.C higher than the m.p.) and penetration is 0.1-50 and colored so as to have a specific color by a transparent colorant colored when mixed with a transparent hot-melt transfer vehicle. Color ink layers of yellow 9Y, magenta 9M and cyan 9C are successively arranged on a strip like base material in a size substantially equal to that of recording paper as a repeated unit A so as not to overlap with each other.
