PURPOSE:To minimize the heating of a prepreg by a molding die and contrive the miniaturization, reduction of extracting force and the like of the molding die by a method wherein the prepreg of thermoplastic resin, which accommodates reinforcing fibers previously, is employed and is preheated after tearing it so as to have tape type sheets. CONSTITUTION:In manufacturing a form consisting of prepregs by a manufacturing device 10, a sheet type prepreg B, consisting of a thermoplastic resin accommodating reinforcing fibers previously, is reeled out by a reel-out device 12. Then, the sheet type prepreg B is teared by a tearing device 14 at first so as to have tape type sheets. Next, the tape type prepregs B are preheated to a temperature near the melting temperature of the thermoplastic resin by a preheating device 16. Subsequently, the prepregs B are heated and molded by a molding die 18 so as to have a predetermined configuration whereby a tubular form S is molded. Thereafter, the form S is extracted by an extracter 20 and the form S is cut by a cutting device 22 so as to have a predetermined length. According to this method, the heating of the prepreg B by the molding die 18 is minimized and the miniaturization and the like of the molding die 18 can be achieved. |
