<p>A substrate is coated with a 0.6-νm-thick film of a photosensitive coloring resin, which exhibits a transmittance less than 5 % at the maximum absorption wavelength of the dye when it is immersed in a 4 % aqueous solution of a dye of more than 1,000 molecular weight for 15 minutes at room temperature or in a 0.2 % aqueous solution of a dye of more than 1,000 molecular weight for 10minutes at 60 °C. The resin film is hardened by exposure to energy rays, and then, a desired color pattern is formed on the film by applying a jet of aqueous dye, so that a color filter is provided.</p> |
