<p>A method and apparatus for detecting the presence of fish and other underwater objects includes a fish attractor (9) and an underwater sensor assembly (13) coupled to the fish attractor. The underwater sensor assembly measures and senses under water factors related to fish catching conditions proximate the lure (9). The sensor assembly transmits signals corresponding to such factors to an above water circuit (12) which provides an output signal. In addition to, or in place of, the underwater sensor assembly, one or more vibration sensors (260) are mounted on a fishing rod (252) or outrigger pole (278) to detect fishing line vibration or rod movement. In other embodiments, remote activity sensing includes placing a sensor (260) directly on a fishing line (258) or downrigger line (279).</p> |
