<p>An interface device for varying the natural pressure distribution of a ski, e.g. a downhill ski, on a sliding surface. The device comprises a vertically movable rear feeler (30) supporting the back end of the ski boot, a tilting member (35) pivotable about a transverse axis and having an approximately horizontal projecting portion (34) to which the vertical motion of the feeler is transmitted, a substantially vertical projecting portion (36), and a connector connecting the vertical projecting portion (36) of the tilting member to the base (14) of a front binding element for transmitting thereto the forces exerted on the feeler. Said device is characterised in that the connector includes a compression-proof connecting plate (35) connected to the base (14) of the front binding element via a hinge assembly (82, 83) which is raised above the upper ski surface, and in that the length of the connecting plate is substantially the same as the distance between its connection (82, 83) to the base and the vertical projecting portion (36) of the tilting member, whereby, in the lower position, the connecting plate (45) engages the vertical projecting portion (36) of the tilting member (35) and transmits the forces exerted on the feeler to the base.</p> |
