The invention relates to a central distributor on the headbox of a paper machine, having the following features: - two rotationally-symmetrical containers are provided; - an equal number of outlet nozzles is provided per container; - a flow resistance is provided in at least one container; - one feed line per container is provided; - the containers are separated from each other by means of a common wall: - one outlet nozzle from the first container being allocated to each outlet nozzle of the second container; and - a throttling valve being allocated to each outlet nozzle of the second container.
