In the case of damp walls (1) which are in need of repair, further penetration of humidity, e.g. due to defective insulation, can be prevented in that a humidity barrier is produced using liquid paraffin injected into the wall. For this purpose, however, the damp masonrywork (1) first of all has to be dried in the corresponding region. In order to achieve effective and rapid thorough drying, it is proposed to insert hot-air nozzles (3) into the blind holes (2) through which the subsequent paraffin injection takes place, which nozzles are connected to a heating fan (5) and can be exposed to hot air from there. The hot-air nozzles (3) comprise a tubular duct with an exterior helical rib which, with the wall of the blind hole, forms a flow duct for the hot air which is blown in. In this manner, with an appropriately long residence time of the hot air, good drying is achieved without there being any fire risk for combustible constituent parts of the wall. <IMAGE>
