Modified polyester resins, a process for their preparation, and toners containing such polyester resins

A process for the preparation of linear or branched, modified polyester resins, characterised in that a) from 1 to 99% of one or more polyester blocks obtained from aliphatic, unsaturated C3-C10-dicarboxylic acids and bisalkoxylated bisphenol A, and optionally one or more polyester blocks obtained from aromatic C8-C12-dicarboxylic acids and aliphatic C20-C10- or cycloaliphatics C5-C7-dialcohols, b) from 0 to 60% by weight of a C2-C21-hydroxycarboxylic acid, or derivatives thereof, c) from 1 to 99% by weight of a mixture of c1) from 40 to 60 mol-% of C2-C25-dialcohols and c2) from 60 to 40 mol-% of C3-C22-dicarboxylic acids, and d) from 0 to 10% by weight of a trifunctional or polyfunctional crosslinking agent, are reacted at temperatures in the range of from 130 to 350 DEG C, optionally in the presence of transesterification catalysts, and components a), b), c) and d) add up to 100% by weight, and components c1) and c2) add up to 100 mol-% of c), and modified polyester resins obtainable by the process.
