<p>A method of separating angels' hair from bulk goods includes the step of causing the stream of bulk goods to flow in a layer and under the influence of gravity over a surface occupied by spines and inclined in respect of the vertical and which is moving with respect to the direction of flow of the bulk goods in order to remove angels' hair from the flow of the bulk goods. The method can be carried out by means of a rotatable cylinder (1) on the outside surface of which there are spines (2) and which is situated under a slot-like bulk goods outflow orifice (5), or (Fig. 2, not shown) by means of a rotatable cylinder whose inside surface carries spines and which is on an inclination, with material fed into it at the higher end. <IMAGE></p> |
