A flush-mounted box for electrical switches or distribution points or the like, having a pot-shaped housing (1) which has a radially projecting end edge (1a), having diametrically arranged guide blocks (5), which are guided in a groove (2) by means of screws (3), for mounting in a wall, the guide blocks (5) being connected to the housing via flexible lugs (4, 4a) which are injection moulded onto the housing (1), is characterised, in order to ensure that it is securely mounted irrespective of the tolerances of the hole in which it is inserted and in order permanently to prevent inadvertent loss of the fastening device, in that the guide blocks (5) have pressure pieces (24) which project outwards beyond the lugs (4, 4a) and are permanently (inseparably) connected to the lugs (4, 4a). <IMAGE>
