For the continuous transporting of itemised goods in a continuous treatment plant, in particular for the pretreatment and electrocoating of vehicle bodies or the like, a device according to the invention comprises at least one transport carriage (1) for receiving the item (7), a first conveying apparatus (4) for conveying the itemised goods (7) from one treatment station (6) to the next, a parallel conveying apparatus (5) extending parallel to the first conveying apparatus (4) in relation to the transporting direction and, at least in one section, running vertically offset relative to the first conveying apparatus (4), a first bearing apparatus (2) which connects the transport carriage (1) to the first conveying apparatus (4) in a freely suspended manner, and a second bearing apparatus (3) which connects the transport carriage (1) to the parallel conveying apparatus (5) in a freely suspended manner. By means of the device according to the invention, the itemised goods can, on the one hand, be lowered and raised on very short transport paths and, on the other hand, the itemised goods can assume an inclined position. <IMAGE>
