<p>The present invention describes a filler for filling mining shafts and for sealing and strengthening ground to be built on, which comprises iron oxide compounds which are formed as residue in the production of H2SO4, cement and flyash and optionally Ca(OH)2. The present invention also describes a building material comprising from 65 to 85% by weight of the filler and from 15 to 35% by weight of water.</p>
