The arrangement for sorting returned drinks packages incorporates a feed-in part (4), components (24,26,32) for orientating and sepg. of packages, a control part (8) incorporating a scanning unit (38), at least one feed-out part (44,46), an ejector component (42) for moving of packages judged in the control part to the at least one feed-out part, and a control unit for recording the result of the judgement carried out in the control part and adjusting the function of the ejector component dependent upon the recorded result. The control part incorporates a transporter (34) for feeding the drinks package to the scanning unit. The drinks package is orientated with its longitudinal axis parallel with the transporter forward feed direction, and the control part has a track formed in the scanning unit scanning area so that the drinks package longitudinal axis forms an angle with the forward feed direction, so that the package rotates around its longitudinal axis. |
