PURPOSE:To prevent the corrosion of metallic bodies of an electrolytic plating device using a molten salt plating bath contg. AlAl3 from occurring for a long period by coating the steel material of the inner surface of the device with Al and also subjecting the coated material to cathode protection with a sacrificial anode. CONSTITUTION:In the molten salt electrolytic plating device, Al or an Al alloy is electroplated on the substrate metal by using a molten salt plating bath contg. AlCl3. At this time, at least a part of the inside of the device is composed of metallic bodies provided with Al coatings having about <=0.8wt% impurities and about 0.05 to 0.5mm film thickness. At the samer time, at least a part of the Al-coated metallic bodies is subjected to cathodic protection with a sacrificial anode consisting of at least one alloy selected from Al, Mn and Mg alloys which are baser than the Mn, Mg or Al coating. Thus, the corrosion of the metallic bodies of the plating tank is efficiently prevented from occurring for a long period. |
