<p>The shipping container (10) comprises a heavy duty drum (20) and insulation material received inside the drum. The insulation material comprises a 1st layer of fibreboard (24) across the bottom of the drum, a 1st layer of plywood (26) across the top of the 1st layer of fibreboard (24), a fibreboard cylinder (28) open at each end received inside the drum (20), a 2nd layer of plywood (30) on the top of the fibreboard cylinder (28) and a 2nd layer of fibreboard (32) across the top of the 2nd layer of plywood (30). An inner container (14) is received inside the fibreboard cylinder (28) and this inner container (14) has a lid (40) which closes it forming a seal. The inner container (14) is provided with a test port. Finally the heavy duty drum is fitted with a cover (34). A further claim is for a shipping container as described above in which the closure lid for the inner container has two O-rings received in separate grooves to form the seal.</p> |
