PURPOSE:To make operation so easily by making lockback of a wiper arm device and its release so as to be performed by only push-and-pull operation of a stopper, while making a lockback state and the release state judgeable with a point of time at engagement between an engaging recess and an engaging projection. CONSTITUTION:At time of normal operation, an engaging projection 24 of a holder 21 is engaged with a first ring groove 26a formed in a stopper 25, and since engagement between the side of an engaged part 27 of this stopper 25 and the inner side of an arm shank 11 is released, an arm 10 is in a state of being pressed to window glass by a spring 19. Next, when the wiper arm device is locked back as in time of cleaning the window glass, if the stopper 25 in the holder 21 is drawin out in an arrow B direction by holding the holding part 28, a second ring groove 26b formed in a fitted part 26 is engaged with the engaging projection 24 of the holder 21. Under this state, the side of the engaged part 27 in the stopper 25 is engaged with the inner side of the arm shank 11, so that the arm 10 is kept in a lockback state. |
