<p>An electric release door strike comprising a carrier frame (11), a strike (18) carried by the frame (11) movable to a released position (see figure 4) to allow opening of the door (23), the strike (18) adapted to resist door opening prior to release of the strike (18) (see figure 2), a solenoid (36) carried by the frame (11) to have either of two alternate positions relative to the frame (11), and levers (30, 32) operatively connected between the solenoid (36) and strike (18) to cause the strike (18) to assume either a fail safe condition when the solenoid (36) is in one of the positions, or a fail secure condition when the solenoid (36) is in the other of the positions. <IMAGE></p> |
