A novel flexible packaging printing ink comprises (a) a PEG methacrylate polyamide copolymer, wherein the polyamide has a Mw of 40000-60000 and is prepd. by condensation of a dibasic acid mixt. (I) with a diamine mixt. (2). (1) comprises (i) about 0.5-0.8 equivs. of a 20-44C dibase acid mixt. composed about 60-100% dimers, 0-40% trim and 0-5% monomers; and (ii) about 0.2-0.7 equivs. of at least one 8-12C dibasic acid, (2) comprises about 0.5-0.8 equivs. of a (substd) piperazine and the balance is at least one 2-12C alkyl diamine; (b) a pigment; (c) a solvent selected from n-propanol, isopropanol, n-butanol, and a mixt. of n-propanol and n-propylacetate; and (d) cellulose acetate butyrate.
