Roller bearing

In a roller bearing, lubricant layers (17) are formed, either on the inner surfaces of flanges (15, 16b) which face the end faces of the rollers (14), or on the end faces themselves. The layers (17) contain a solid lubricant such as molybdenum disulphide or ptfe in a matrix of epoxy, polyamide or polyimide. An intermediate layer of a phosphate or sulphide compound may be present. The rollers may be cylindrical or tapered.
