PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a reproduced signal by detecting the level of the cross talk signal from a neighboring track, deriving the inclination of a disk, driving an actuator and correcting a tilt. CONSTITUTION:On a disk 5, tracks A, B and C including intermittent patterns 4 for detecting a tilt are provided. The optical beam from a semiconductor laser is converged into the track A through an objective lens 6. The reflected optical beam is cast into a detector 7. In the detector 7, the cross-talk signals from the tracks B and C are reproduced in addition to the signal caused by the pattern of the track A. The signals caused by the cross talk are converted into the outputs corresponding to the signal levels with a frequency discriminating circuit 9. An actuator including an optical head or the objective lens is driven with a tilt motor 11. As a result, control is performed so that the cross- talk amount from the track B becomes equal to the cross-talk amount from the track A, and the quality of the reproduced signal is improved. |
