PURPOSE:To provide the color facsimile equipment in which mis-storage of an original is prevented by displaying the result of discrimination of a color original or a black/white original. CONSTITUTION:When a scan execution instruction is received by a CPU control circuit 2, a scanner 10 is started via an I/O control section 7 and scanning of an original is started. When the original is stored by one page, the obtained picture data are transferred to a color.white/black conversion circuit 4 through a picture bus 15 and gamma conversion is executed by a gamma conversion circuit and color.white/black discrimination is made by a color.white/black discrimination circuit and after the picture data are coded by a picture coding decoding circuit 12, coded data are stored in a hard disk 14 through an SCSI interface 13. Then the obtained color.white/black discrimination result is displayed on a display device 9 or printed out by a printer 11 as a report. |
