PURPOSE:To provide the double eye image pickup device by which excellent stereoscopic vision is realized and the processing load at reproduction is relieved by receiving a picture in matching with each person at image pickup. CONSTITUTION:An indication of a visual point center is pointed out by a mode switch 2 and noticed point position processing sections 17R, 17L indicate the visual point center on view finders 15R, 15L. A viewer observes a visual point center displayed on the view finders by both eyes via visual line detection sections 16R, 16L. A visual line detection section detects a visual angle of both the eyes of the viewer. A motor 22 adjusts an interval between the visual line detection sections till the visual angle of both the eyes detected by the visual line detection sections is smaller than a threshold level. When the adjustment of the interval is finished, the mode switch 2 points out the indication of a stereoscopic picture and left/right pictures are indicated on the view finders to form the stereoscopic picture and the viewer observes the stereoscopic picture in an excellent way in matching with both the eyes. |
