DEFLECTING CIRCUIT

PURPOSE: To control a voltage clamp adaptively to the operation range of a diode independently of the level of a voltage source. CONSTITUTION: The voltage clamp 30 is connected to one terminal of a secondary winding W2 of a transformer TR1. The priamary winding W1 of the transformer TR1 is connected between a diode modulator 12 and a transistor Q3. The clamp 30 is connected to +16 V fairly lower than the upper limit of the operation voltage level of the modulator 12. Thereby energy is transferred between the primary winding W1 and the secondary winding W2. When the turn ratio of the transformer TR 1 is changed, a 2nd voltage level between both ends of the primary winding W1 can be controlled to a level different from the 1st voltage level (+ 16 V).
