PURPOSE:To provide a device constituted so as to be capable of automatically charging a predetermined amt. of an anion polymerization catalyst in molten lactam. CONSTITUTION:An automatic catalyst charging device 10 for molding a polyamide resin is used at the time of the addition of a predetermined amt. of an anion polymerization catalyst to molten lactam and constituted of a replaceable cartridge 11 preliminarily housing the compressed matter 12 of the powder anion polymerization catalyst, the extrusion member 13 fitted in the cartridge 11 and moved to extrude the compressed matter 12 of the anion polymerization catalyst, a cutting means 14 cutting the compressed matter 12 of the anion polymerization catalyst extruded from the end part of the cartridge 11 and the protective case 15 connecting the end part of the cartridge 11 and having the cutting means 14 received therein.
