PURPOSE:To output the recording image of an image recorder in spreading sheet size (for the portion of two pages) such as newspaper and to superimpose the image in a main scanning direction in a device when the output is issued in a system in which only image data of A2 size can be transmitted from a host device (space transmission, etc.). CONSTITUTION:A right image of spreading sheet size is stored in the high-order address of an image memory 12 from a host device. Thence, a middle image of the spreading sheet size is received from the host device, and a signal can be generated by shifting an enable signal that is an effective signal in the unit of one line by an enable shift circuit 11 corresponding to quantity to be superimposed. The image data stored previously is read out the timing of the shift signal, and the image data are superimposed by a superposition processing circuit 10, and is stored again in the high-order address of the image memory. Finally, a left image of the spreading sheet size is received from the host device, and the image data is superimposed by a similar method, then, it is stored in the image memory 12. |
