PURPOSE:To automatically carry out toner replenishment by means of a simple structure and to prevent contamination of a surrounding environment and a person by making replenishment toner move toward a toner discharge opening by means of inertia resulting from strike against a container, and enter a developing device. CONSTITUTION:When the toner replenishment container 1 is inserted and vibration exciter 9 is actuated, a striking member 12 swings around a pivot while receiving the elasticity of a spring, and a cushioning material strikes against the side of the toner replenishment container 1. Along with the strike, toner 4 in the toner replenishment container 1 moves by means of the inertia of the toner 4, in the opposite direction to the striking direction. That is, the toner 4 in the toner replenishment container 1 moves toward the toner discharge opening, comes out of the toner discharge opening, and enters the toner storage part 3 of the developing device 2. Because the replenishment with toner 4 is automatically carried out, the need to pull out a shutter is eliminated, and the toner 4 is prevented from contaminating a surrounding environment and a person at the time of the replacement of the toner replenishment container 1. |
